Judy Volc continued in Boulder’s Barnes Storytime

Eli and Emily Heinrich had their eyes glued to the pages Tuesday as Judy Volc read the book after book about duck and the dinosaur, swimming pigs and of pigs by elephant to best friends.

For one of his last two Storytime for kids sessions at Boulder libraries, Volc has brought a favorite book, and clearly he knows the story almost by heart.

Volc have read to kids for almost 50 years, most recently as a volunteer. But Valerie Maginnis, new Director of the Boulder library, have decided that now librarian staff will lead the Storytime for children.

Once the camera is writing about the city’s decision to drop the Volc, he received many offers continue to read to children at school and in local stores, including Barnes

Volc said he had received several offers, but it won’t be the same. He loved the library provides books free for everyone, and serve as community gathering places. He said he supports the idea of librarian staff doing more reading to children. He just doesn’t understand why he should stop.
